Opening a new business or relocating to New Bern can best get a jump start through the New Bern Area Chamber of Commerce. Volunteer staff has current demographic and business information available along with extensive tourism information. For more than 110 years, the Chamber has encouraged young professionals, supported growth and maintained activities supporting the city. Membership information is on the web site along with links to the application process. Chamber hours are Monday through Thursday 9 AM to  5 PM, Friday 9 AM to 3 PM.
