Tryon Palace Museum Store in the new North Carolina History Center sells food, toys, gifts, books, fine crafts, jewelry, home decor, pottery, and plants, as well as heirloom flower and vegetable seeds. Items for home-decor include glass, paper, porcelain, silver, and pottery. Books cover the history of New Bern, Craven County, North Carolina, the South and the decorative arts. Tasty sauces and jellies for gifts reflect historic themes and food is ready to eat for famished sightseers. The selection of souvenirs for children is outstanding. Tryon Palace tickets are not needed to shop in the museum store. Shop hours are Monday through Saturday, 9 AM to 5 PM and Sunday noon to 5 PM. All proceeds support ongoing educational projects of Tryon Palace Complex.
