New Bern, NC, stays busy throughout the year with festivals and annual events that celebrate everything from arts, culture, and entertainment to history, food, and gardens. The largest event of the year is MumFest as the town comes alive with food vendors, amusement rides, and musical performances, however, many smaller events fill nearly every weekend of the calendar. Other headlining events include the Shriner's Parade each winter, as well as the Jazz Festival, and Ghost walks.
